1. Description

This tab is for assigning Devices to a User. Devices should be understood as SIP phones and other IP telephony devices.

Consists of fields (Fig.1):

1.1. Default device

To select a Default Device, click on the Default device (from the list of selected devices)* field and select the required Device from the list.

The Default device (from the list of selected devices)* list includes Devices selected in the Devices field.

You can change the Default Device by clicking on the Default device (from the list of selected devices)* field and selecting another Device from the list.

You can also remove the Default Device by clicking the close button.

Attention!

If the Default Device is not assigned, there is no connection via WebRTC, and the button for calling the Workspace will not work for the User.

1.2. Devices

You can select several Devices, and their number (excluding those displayed in the field) will be displayed in the Devices field (Fig.2).

Click on the Devices field and select the required Device from the list.

You can use the Device field as a search field for the desired Device.
If you need to create a new Device, click Add new (Fig. 1). After clicking, you will be redirected to the General page of the Device, where you have to create a new Device.

2. Opportunities

2.1. Assign a Device to a User

Goal

Assign a Device to a User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the User section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit in the User section;
  4. The presence of at least one User.
  5. The presence of at least one Device.

Steps


  1. Click on the Device field. A drop-down list opens.
  2. Choose the required Device(-s) from the drop-down list.
  3. Click the Save button

Result

Data saved.

If multiple devices are selected, the Device field displays one of the assigned Devices and the number of other assigned Devices.

If there is one Device selected, only that Device is displayed.

2.2. Unassign a Device to a User 

Goal

Unassign a Device to a User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the User section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit in the User section;
  4. The presence of at least one User with at least one assigned Device.

Steps


  1. Click on the Device field. A drop-down list opens.
  2. Find the required assigned Device (assigned Devices have a yellow fill).
  3. Click on this Device. The yellow fill disappears.
  4. Click the Save button

Result

Data saved.

If multiple active Devices are left, the Device field displays one of the remaining Devices and the number of other remaining Devices.

If there is only one Device left, only that Device is displayed.

2.3. Reset all assigned Devices for a User

Goal

Reset all assigned Devices for a User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the User section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit in the User section;
  4. The presence of at least one User with at least one assigned Device.

Steps


  1. Click the close button ()in the Devices field.
  2. Click the Save button.

Result

Data saved.

There are no assigned Devices.

2.4. Assign a Default Device to a User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the User section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit in the User section;
  4. The presence of at least one User with at least one assigned Device.

Steps


  1. Click on the  field. A drop-down list opens.
  2. Choose the required Device(-s) from the drop-down list.
  3. Click the Save button

Result

Data saved.

The Default device field displays the selected Device.

2.5. Unassign a Default Device to a User 

Goal

Unassign a Default Device to a User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the User section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit in the User section;
  4. The presence of at least one User with at least one assigned Device.
  5. The presence of a User with a Default Device assigned.

Steps


  1. Click the close button ()in the Default device field.
  2. Click the Save button

Result

Data saved.

The Default Device field displays the field's name.
