General (Devices)

1. Description

Here you can enter general information about a Device.

Consists of fields (Fig.1):

  1. Name;
  2. Password;
  3. User.

1.1. Name

The name of the Device is entered here.

The identifier of the Device is entered here.

In the case of creating a Device, you have to fill in the Auth ID field manually (Fig.1), and when creating a Hot Desking Device, the value is assigned automatically (Fig.2).

When creating Hot Desking, there is an additional tab with the same name.

1.3. Password

The field for creating a password. You can create the password by yourself or use a password generator (). The generated or entered password can be copied using the copy button -  (which appears in the Password field after entering data).

When you hover over the icon  next to Password, help information is displayed.

If you do not set a password, it will be the same as the account.

Attention!

The password must be saved or remembered because it will not be available for viewing after creating the User.

1.4. User

Here you select which User to tie this device to in this field. 

When you click on the User field, a drop-down list opens from which the User is selected. If the required User is not in the drop-down list, use the User field as a search field.

The Permissions tab becomes available after saving the data.

2.  Opportunities

2.1. Change the Name/Auth ID/Password/User

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the Devices section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to edit or create in the Devices section;
  4. Having at least one Device or creating a new one.

Steps


  1. Click on the field you want to change.
  2. Make the necessary changes
  3. Click the Save button

Result

Data saved.
