General (Email profiles)

1. Description

Here, you enter information about the Email profile.

It consists of the following elements (Fig.1):

  1. Name;
  2. Mailbox;
  3. IMAP Host;
  4. IMAP Port;
  5. SMTP Host;
  6. SMTP Port;
  7. Flow schema;
  8. Refresh interval;
  9. Description.
  10.  Auth type;
  11. Listen.

1.1. Name

Required field. Here the name of the Email profile is entered.

1.2. Mailbox

The category/folder where the email will go (on the recipient's side) when you send a message using this Email profile is entered here.

You can find this data in the address bar when opening a specific mailbox category (Fig. 2). In most cases, is Inbox.

1.3. IMAP Host

The IMAP Host of the email provider is entered here.

1.4. IMAP Port

The IMAP Port of the email provider is entered here.  The default is 993.

1.5. SMTP Host

The SMTP Host of the email provider is entered here.

1.6. SMTP Port

The IMAP Port of the email provider is entered here.  The default is 587.

IMAP and SMTP ports can be found in the documentation of a particular email provider.

1.7. Flow schema

Field for selecting the Flow schema to be executed when an email is received at the specified email address in the settings. For example, a Flow schema for adding a Subscriber to the inbound task Queue.

1.8. Refresh interval

Here, you enter the update interval for checking for new emails.

1.9. Description

Here you enter the description of the Email profile.

1.10. Auth type

This field is used to select the authentication type. The following options are available:

  1. Plain;
  2. OAuth2.

Depending on the type selected, different fields become available.

1.10.1. Plain

When the PLAIN type is selected, the following fields become available:

  1. Login;
  2. Password;

1.10.1.1. Login

The postal address to which incoming messages will be received is entered here.

1.10.1.2. Password

Here, enters a password from the email in paragraph 1.10.1.1.

1.10.2. OAuth2

It is the industry-standard protocol for authorization

When the OAuth2 type is selected, the following fields become available:

  1. Client secret;
  2. Discovery url;
  3. Login.

1.10.2.1. Client ID

The application (client) ID is specified in this field.

It is obtained from the OAuth client side.

1.10.2.2. Client Secret

The client secret value is specified in this field.

It is obtained from the OAuth client side.

1.10.2.3. Discovery URL

The discovery URL is specified in this field.

1.10.2.4. Login

The email address to which inbound messages will be sent is entered in this field.

1.11. Listen

 - inbound messages are not retrieved from this email; the profile is used for outbound messages.

 - The profile is used for inbound messages.

  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the Email profiles section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to select and delete in the Email profiles section;
  4. The presence of at least one Email profile.

Steps


  1. Click on the field you want to change.
  2. Make the necessary changes.
  3. Click the Save button.

Result

Data saved.

2.2. Change the Flow schema

Change the Flow schema

Preconditions
  1. Access to the Admin application;
  2. Access to the Email profiles section in the Admin application;
  3. Permission to select and delete in the Email profiles section;
  4. The presence of at least one Email profile.

Steps


  1. Click on the Flow schema field. A drop-down list opens.
  2. Select the required option from the drop-down list.
  3. Click the Save button
